Meet Our Team

Dr Peter Halvorson, D.C.

Dr. Peter Halvorson has been involved in drug-free healthcare, also known as Alternative and Complementary Medicine (CAM), since his teenage years in the late 1970s. He began studying foot reflexology and exploring a vegetarian diet, and later discovered Chiropractic healthcare as a patient in his twenties. He has been a Massage Therapist since 1993 and completed a three-and-a-half-year program to earn his Doctorate of Chiropractic.

Through his studies, Dr. Halvorson has developed a deep understanding of the importance of a healthy brain and neurological system, as well as the damaging effects of poor diet and stress.

In Latin, “Doctor” means teacher, and he carries this core concept into every patient interaction. He believes education empowers patients to take charge of their health and advocate for themselves.

Dr. Halvorson provides excellent, brain-based chiropractic care that helps patients leave feeling better than when they arrived. He treats patients from prenatal to nonagenarians and has particular success adjusting the hip, pelvis, and sacrum complex, utilizing techniques derived from the mechanics of Dr. Hugh Logan at the base of the spine (Logan Basic Technique).

Chiropractic care interrupts subconscious patterns that place stress on the brain and body. To support this, Dr. Halvorson employs a range of diversified techniques in chiropractic adjustment and spinal analysis. Drawing on over 16 years of experience as a Licensed Massage Therapist, he customizes care to meet each patient’s individual needs.

A Passion for Learning

Dr. Halvorson’s commitment to drug-free healthcare began in the 1970s and has continued throughout his career. He earned his undergraduate degree in Environmental Science/Microbiology from Northern Arizona University, later realizing he had completed a pre-med curriculum. He went on to graduate from Logan University with his Doctor of Chiropractic.

He has also pursued extensive continuing education in areas including neuromuscular therapy, Koren Specific Technique, and brain chemistry, continually expanding his knowledge to better serve his patients.
